FAQ: Causes of Data Spikes/Dips

Occasionally, you may see unusual data spikes or dips in the day-to-day difference graph. The two main reasons for these are either a data collection server outage or the data provider sending data earlier or later than usual. This timing shift makes some dates appear higher or lower than normal, while the surrounding dates show the opposite effect. Averaging the affected dates usually brings the values closer to normal.
